Classic July 16, 2010 Philip Schneider (Wichita, KS, USA) The Pulsar PXNO21 has it all for an inexpensive watch. Clear, tasteful, easy to read and will tell you quickly the time, day, and date. The screw in crown is especially desired since it protects a major component. That, along with the hard mineral cystal and the fact that it just keeps running and running, add up to a watch for all seasons.
Great watch, but band not so easy to adjust September 11, 2009 Robert Leigh (Baltimore, MD USA) This is a good looking, accurate, well-made watch. The expansion band looks good, too, but it is not easy to adjust. I spent over an hour removing two links, and was unable to keep from denting the surface of the links I had to re-join. I ended up going to a local jeweler--one who sells Pulsar watches--and asking him to remove the dented links and replace them with the undamaged two I had removed earlier. He said, "Sure, for a twenty dollar bill!" It was well worth it, and the watch is now perfect. You'll like the watch, but if you have to make the band smaller, take it to a qualified jeweler. In spite of the band adjustment problem, I still like the watch enough to give it 5-stars!
PULSAR PXN021 RAILROAD WATCH March 21, 2009 Larry P. Sedore 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Outstanding watch.I love the off-white face of this watch and at night it glows like a beacon. Day date very large and easy to read.Large numbers on dial make it so easy to tell what time it is.Second hand is slightly off center to the right of minute markers, but not enought to make a difference.I like the fact that it has a screw down crown making it water resistant while washing your hands or taking a shower.Screw down crown is rare for a watch that is rated 10 bar.Lets face it, you buy a watch to tell time and this one is deadly accurate. I sent this watch to the atomic clock and after 1 week the time is dead nuts on!!If you are a time freak like me, you can NOT beat the accuracy of this watch, even compared to a much more expensive one. Way to go quartz movment.I also own a SEIKO KENETIC and CITIZEN ECO-DRIVE and this watch keeps the time as good as the CITIZEN and slightly better than the SEIKO(the SEIKO runs about 10 seconds fast a month).Just a great functional, nice looking watch!
Replacement Watch January 9, 2009 John W. Kahle (Bucyrus, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased this watch to replace an identical watch I have had for over 10 years ago. This is a basic watch that is very accurate and provides day and date. The illuminated dial still shines brightly. My old watch is showing wear and tear from daily wear. Battery life is excellent. I have been so happy with my old watch that I wanted to order another before this model is discontinued. Purchase was smooth and swift. At my age this should be my last watch purchase.
Nicely done rr watch....... December 3, 2008 K. Giannetto (Fulton, Il) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I look at it this way, a watch that doesn't keep time is worthless. As far as this timepiece is concerned, IT WORKS!!. The watch is nicely done in rr fashion, red numbered 24hr dial, red second hand, bold black hour numbers and minute marks, day date, etc...... the screw down crown and case back are a nice touch, the lumibrite dial is a nice feature but doesn't glow long enough and the luminiuos coating gives the impression that the dial is somewhat blurry, although, it is easy to read. The speidel band is a good deal also, after I removed a link it fits great, very comfortable to wear and light weight. Overall it's very accurate and comfortable to wear, a nice watch but not too nice to wear everyday or to work.
